Issue #4 in the works

My apologies for the lack of activity here on Imaginaire over the last couple months, with special apologies to submitters who have been awaiting word on their works. I lost my job and everything took a back seat for a little while there. The good news is that I'm back at in, and I am in the process of sorting through the backlog for stories that will appear in Issue #4 of Imaginaire, which I hope to have out by the end of November. There's still time to get your submissions in.

Issue 3 is now live

Issue 3 of Imaginaire is now live and available to read! Check it out and share with your friends. Thanks to all contributors! Special thanks to Fabio Sassi for the awesome cover art, and to my helpful volunteer readers Chris Stieha, Liz Wason, and Christina Jones.

EDIT: I have posted a revision. I mistakenly misattributed After Calculus to someone else instead of the author Robin Wyatt Dunn. I assure you it was a simple copy/paste error and nothing more. For more on Robin, check out his web page at http://www.robindunn.com/ Please refresh the page or redownload the file for the corrected version. Thanks!

EDIT: I made the same mistake twice and now must also apologize to Julie Smith. All bylines are confirmed correct now.

Issue 3 Slated for June

We are going to break with our normal semiannual lag in issues, and bring you issue number three on June 14. Given the overall response to issue number two, we're going to go back to the format of issue number one and Issue 3 in PDF style. The supplemental small version will be similar to Issue 2's, in that it will be stripped down to just text. But full-color Issue 2 will have pictures and fun stuff like that. We already have a full slate, and it just needs editing and assembly.

I have every confidence that we will also be putting out Issue 4 in September, as we have been receiving steady stream of high-quality work. Thank you all for your support.

Issue #2 forthcoming

We'll be experimenting with form and trying out an electronic only format for this issue of Imaginaire, as a contrast to issue #1's heavily formatted version. The electronic edition is much easier to produce, obviously, but you lose something in style. Let us know what you think.

Saying Goodbye

Imaginaire joins the rest of the writing world in bidding a fond farewell to Iain M. Banks, one of the most inventive and interesting science fiction writers of our time. You will be missed.

Slight Delay

There will be a slight delay on Issue #2. It will be out on or around April 5th. Check back then and thank you for the support!

Issue #2

We are working on getting Issue #2 ready by the end of the month. It's possible the actual publication date will be in April, but we hope not. In the mean time, if you're an author waiting to hear back, know that we have been working hard to get through submissions and that time sometimes slips away.

Check back in a week or so for updates!

New Site

Imaginaire has moved! With luck, your DNS servers and all that have updated. If not, you're not reading this anyway, so I guess that was a pointless thing to say :)

The reason we moved is simply because we could no longer afford the full hosting. However, we plan on keeping this URL, so you shouldn't need to update your bookmarks or anything like that. Email us or hit us up on Facebook or Twitter if you have problems.
